May Newsletter 2026

While our events calendar was lighter this month, we remained focused on strengthening the foundations that support our growing community. Behind the scenes, we have been continuing to develop and update our website, including refreshing our Mentor and Committee pages to ensure they remain engaging, relevant, and reflective of the incredible individuals who support our mission.
Throughout the month, we have continued to celebrate the achievements and stories of women in STEM through our Mentor of the Month series. This month we were delighted to spotlight Betty Laurincova, whose career in planning, urban design, and architecture demonstrates the diverse and exciting pathways available within STEM. Sharing the journeys of inspiring role models remains a key part of helping young women see the possibilities available to them.
With the Isle of Man TT season underway, we also took the opportunity to celebrate the women powering motorsport behind the scenes. From engineers and data analysts to software specialists and race operations teams, women continue to play a vital role in driving innovation across the industry. Highlighting these careers helps showcase the many different ways STEM skills can be applied in real-world settings.
As we move into the summer months, preparations are well underway for upcoming events, outreach activities, and opportunities to connect with schools, families, mentors, and industry partners. We are excited about what lies ahead and look forward to continuing to inspire curiosity, confidence, and ambition in the next generation.
As always, we would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to our sponsors, partners, mentors, schools, volunteers, and supporters. Your continued encouragement and commitment make everything we do possible, and we are grateful to have such a passionate community helping us create opportunities for women and girls across the Island.

Celebrating Women in Motorsport 🏍️
As the Isle of Man TT takes centre stage once again, we’re celebrating the incredible women helping to drive motorsport forward.
While the riders may be the faces we see on the Mountain Course, every race depends on a dedicated team of STEM professionals working behind the scenes.
From engineers and mechanics to software developers, data analysts, designers, communications specialists and race operations teams, technology and innovation are at the heart of modern motorsport.
Women across the industry are helping to design, build, test and optimise the machines and systems that make racing possible. Their expertise, creativity and problem-solving skills are shaping the future of motorsport every day.
At Love Tech, we’re passionate about showing girls and young women that STEM careers can take many forms, whether that’s developing cutting-edge technology, analysing performance data, designing safer systems, or working trackside with world-class teams.
This TT season, we’re celebrating the women powering motorsport and inspiring the next generation to see that there is a place for them in engineering, technology
and innovation.
