💫 This August – Our Mentor of the Month: Georgie Coop!
This month, we’re thrilled to spotlight Georgie Coop!
With a mantra like “Work smarter, not harder!”, Georgina is living proof that a love for maths can take you just about anywhere. Her journey from audit to actuarial science shows just how many doors a STEM skillset can open.
After studying maths at university, Georgina began her career at PwC Isle of Man as an Audit Associate, training and qualifying as a Chartered Accountant. Today, she uses those same skills to analyse financial information, spot trends, and calculate key ratios and she’s now gearing up to pivot into actuarial work as she begins her next round of professional exams.
When she’s not crunching numbers, you’ll find Georgie knitting or getting lost in a good book. Fun fact: accountants are needed in almost every industry so the very same qualification could take you into insurance… or even into a dream role with Netflix!
