Pretty much every industry in the world needs an accountant you could train in insurance and end up working for Netflix, all with the same qualification!
My career path:
From school I went to university to study maths — I knew I enjoyed it but had no idea what career path to take. After graduating, I joined PwC Isle of Man as an audit associate, where I completed my accounting studies and qualified as a chartered accountant. I use my maths skills every day to analyse financial info and calculate ratios and trends. Looking ahead, I’m pivoting into actuarial work and will be starting my actuarial exams soon!
