Hi, I’m Georgia!
Here are a few facts about me and also why I’m so passionate about inspiring and empowering people just like you to explore opportunities in STEM…
My career specialism:
Maths.
My current role:
Actuary.
When not STEM-ing you can find me…
You’ll usually find me outdoors – running, sea swimming, or walking my dog. I also enjoy keeping my mind active by solving puzzles or learning something new.
A fun fact me:
I’ve completed a skydive from 15,000ft, played hockey at an elite level as a teenager, and was named a Trailblazer in Gef’s 2024 30 Under 30.
My career path:
After experiencing poor health while completing my A‑levels, I deferred my university place to study Actuarial Science and began part‑time work in the insurance industry. That opportunity opened up an entirely new path, leading to my appointment as a Trainee Actuary at a local firm. Over the past six years, I’ve developed broad experience across Financial Reporting, Underwriting, Pricing, and Commercial Management. I have successfully passed all 13 Fellowship exams with the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries, achieving Chartered Associate status in August 2025, with Chartered Fellowship status pending in August 2026.
