July Newsletter 2025

July has been a month of hands-on fun, meaningful mentorship, and powerful community moments at Love Tech all centred around our mission to empower girls and young women to explore the world of STEM here on the Isle of Man. 💜
This month we ran an unforgettable Robot Coding Workshop in partnership with Code Club Isle of Man. Held at St Matthew’s Church, the session saw a fantastic turnout of girls aged 8–15 who learned to code and control Sphero robot balls, earned certificates, and walked away with smiles, confidence, and new friendships. A big thank you to all who joined and a warm welcome to our newest mentor, Georgia Wilson, who supported the event and joined the team this month!
Speaking of mentors…
We’re thrilled to shine the Mentor of the Month spotlight on Georgia Wilson. A 2024 Gef 30 Under 30 Trailblazer and Senior Actuarial Trainee at Zurich, Georgia’s career journey is a shining example of resilience, curiosity, and the power of carving your own unique path in STEM.
We also welcomed another incredible mentor to the team — Georgina Coop! A Chartered Accountant currently exploring actuarial science, Georgina brings a love for maths, a head for numbers, and a creative spirit (she knits and reads in her spare time!). We’re so excited to have her mentoring the next generation of STEM stars.
