Hi, I’m Deb, Love Tech’s co-founder and committee secretary.

Here are a few fun facts about me and also my video about why I’m passionate about inspiring and empowering people just like you to explore opportunities in STEM.

My career specialism:

My skills are in the digital/technology sector with a particular focus on cyber security.

My current role:

Director of IT, Hansard Global plc

Board Member, IOM Digital Agency

Board Member, IOM Chamber of Commerce

Ambassador, IOM Institute of Directors

Fun facts about me!

I passed my motor bike test at 16 and I’ve got a Manx cat called Daisy!

When not STEM-ing, you can find me…

Relaxing! Which, for me, is walking the dog in the countryside.

My career path…

My STEM journey started when I was working as a translator for an engineering company in London and was given a brand new computer aided design (CAD) PC. I picked up the manual and worked out how to use it and a few months later transferred to their IT department! I moved to work for a firm of lawyers as ‘Head of Technical Systems and Support’ and returned to the Island in 1999 to join Hansard as ‘Supervisor Systems Security’ becoming ‘Director of IT’ in 2009.

I chaired the Chamber of Commerce Digital Committee from 2004 – 2020 and have been a Digital Agency Board member since 2018.
